Dr. Rita Mencucci currently works at theEye Clinic, department of Ophthalmology,and she is Professor at the School of Ophthalmology at the University of Florence, Italy
Dr.Mencucci received her medical degree from the University of Florence.
Dr.Mencucci’s special interests focus on Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery.
She is a member of several societies including the Italian Ophthalmological Society (SOI), the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), the Cornea Society and the European Cornea Society( EUCORNEA) and she is a member of the Board of SITRAC (Società Italiana Trapianti Cornea ) and SICSSO (Società Italiana Cellule Staminali e Superficie Oculare)
Dr. Mencucci has published several scientific papers, many of which have appeared in major journals. She has presented her work at many national and international scientific meetings related to her sub-specialties of Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery. Dr. Mencucci has also served as a panelist at numerous international meetings.
